Be that as it may, this is what they are reporting. If it turns out to be a false report, then the Iconoclast will suffer its "reputation" as a real newspaper.
If it's true, then Texas Freepers in the area could be sources for more info and follow-up on this story.
One other thing I noted in this report, is that people at Camp Cindy are posting messages and schedules on trees. Are those trees on public or private land? And are there any regulations in Crawford WRT posting bills in this way?
Not to mention the environmental damage!

It could be solid. I’d be angry enough to do it if a bunch of seditious traitors camped on my property - and the local law did nothing. Firing a shotgun did get attention.
