I'm not COEXERJ145, but I've had to struggle to support Michelle Malkin because of her completely illogical and indefensible flip-flop on Elian Gonzales. She wrote several columns defending his right to stay in the US, and then suddenly came out with a column saying she had changed her mind and wanted him to go back to Cuba because she was tired of Marisleysis's "whining" on TV. Huh?
<Thomas Magnum>I know what you're thinking</Thomas Magnum>: that was a long time ago and I should get over it. I don't know, it's hard to do that when someone so blatantly throws out their principles over personality differences. But, I will admit she's done good things since that time. From his tagline, I'm thinking maybe COEXERJ145 takes issue with her secure borders work.

I bet you're thinking right.

I was not following Michelle Malkin's column back during the whole Elian Gonzalez business, so I was not witness to the column you cite. But I would agree that if she took after Marisleysis for "whining", I would have a hard time forgiving that as well.
I guarantee, that if somebody I loved was in danger of being thrown into Castro's gulag Hell-hole, I might be tempted to "whine" as well.
But as I always say, "Thank you, Elian". I remain convinced, to this day, that without the ham-fisted JBT abduction of Elian Gonzalez, Al Gore would have won Florida in 2000. So thank you, Elian. We owe you more than you will ever know...
