Sudden pressure decrease causes drop in temperature in a gas - it's the basis of most air conditioning systems. My question, though, is why would a passenger have the time and mental capacitiy to TEXT MESSAGE his cousin, when nobody was able to go to the cockpit and at least try to bring the plane in. That's the suspicious part to me. Why was the pilot reported unconscious by a passenger?

This happened right before the crash correct? Someone else said that EVERYONE was freezing. Which is correct, or was this a strong willed person who lasted long enough to TM then whatever? Also, why no report of terrorist onboard if so by this person? Sabotage on the ground I'd assume. It came from Larnaca, Cyprus.

Can't go to the cockpit. The cockpits is locked and now thanks to 9/11 it is very soundly locked.

I was thinking that very thing. Was someone able to open the cockpit door, another crew member perhaps? If so, did they radio for help in flying the plane or for any other reason? This is strange indeed.
