I'm not sure the Missouri Synod wants people who have been members in the ELCA and have picked up that contaminated doctrine of theirs. I would certainly insist that our congregation make them take a thorough course in genuine Lutheran doctrine.
I was confirmed in the Missouri Synod. When we moved, we started going to a local ELCA church because it was a lot closer. My son, though confirmed in the ELCA church we attend, went to a Lutheran School run by a Missouri Synod church. I guess we'd be OK, but I doubt I'd want to attend your church anyway...
I'm a former Episcopagan who joined the LCMS several years ago. My wife and I went through a 5 week Christianity 101 class. Very instructional, not only on Lutheran belief, but illustrated the care and concern the parish had for maintaining orthodoxy. It sold me completely.
Then again, after coming from the denomination that brought us Pike, Spong, and now Robinson, I have to admit ECUSA had really lowered the bar.
I agree with TopDog...your LCMS Church sounds like I am just not good enought to belong there. I am, after all, a sinner.
