Hundreds of people with conflicting opinions about the war in Iraq have descended on a road leading to President George W. Bush's Crawford, Texas, ranch.
What started it all was the public grieving of Cindy Sheehan of Vacaville, Calif., who lost a son fighting in Iraq. She set up a tent near the Bush property last week and who soon begam appearing in news reports nationwide.
Her activity spurred Saturday's counter rallies.
More than 250 people gathered Saturday across the road from the war protesters to voice support for Bush.
Authorities kept the groups separated, but the faceoff snarled traffic as cars lined the shoulders of the narrow winding road.
Near downtown Crawford, several hundred anti-war demonstrators heard from relatives of American soldiers who have died in Iraq.
Sheehan has agreed to meet privately Saturday evening with Bush supporters whose relatives have lost their lives in Iraq.
I know. That's what made it so ridiculous for him to blame Bush. Berg went there to work for/as a contractor. This woman's son joined the service. It was voluntary enlistment. He knew that he could be killed. That's part of the job. His mother is being driven by liberals that are using her to further their agenda.
Be interesting to see if Rush deems this worthy of at least a passing mention on Monday.

I hope folks will direct thier ire towards the professional lowlifes that are manipulating Cindy, a women who is clearly over her head and suffering.

Especially relevant is the smarmy shmoosing phoniness of a US Congresswoman telling Cindy how much she loved and admired her, and that the noble cause her son died for is
to end the war, and "we are all counting on you".
Talk about a rock and a hard place, she may be convinced that if she personally fails to end it, her son will have died for nothing.
All of the leftist scum are pushing for her to carry this on, reinforcing that idea in her mind.
Each person is responsible for thier own actions, but politically, attacking her is a loser. Showing how she
is being used reveals the lack of character that so defines
the modern American left.

I do not think mainstream Democratic voting Americans share the moral depravity of its leadership.
Attack the people and attitudes of those that are using this
tragic figure for thier own agenda. Reveal thier reality to the people.
There was a lot of support for the President and the troops today.
I got there kinda late...and there was still supporters there doing the counter protest.
Went with some military families.

Radio stations here in Texas have been mentioning that past few days that there was not 200+ liberals like the media tried to say this week. They have said it was more like 50.
The interesting thing is.....it looked like there were more supporters for Bush than there were hippie protesters.
Not proud of it but in college I would attend, cut a nubile libette from the herd, exaggerate my draft number etc. and usually accomplish my mission.
I supported the war but was weak in the ways of the flesh.
Don't those hippies have jobs?
Cindy Sheehan should have to answer to why she carries her son's picture at events that have lefty freaks carrying signs that say things like.....
"we support our troops...when they shoot their officers.
Disgusting.
Don't forget the watercannons.
Our hard working firefighters should be allowed to express themselves too.

If he doesn't rebuke her in a face to face he'll be seen as weak. If he hammers in another face to face, he'll seem cruel and heartless. He's doing exactly the right thing by ignoring this woman.
