Yeah, I know, she's hot, and the 13-year-old kid is big man on campus, but that's no excuse. She ought to be staring at a hell of a lot longer than nine months in the slammer and years of supervised release. If some big buff Brad Pitt lookalike did that to a 13-year-old girl, we'd be howling for his head...how she looks and her sex really shouldn't affect that.

" You're right it shouldn't affect her sentence. But lets be realistic, this is America and as shallow as it sounds looks make a difference. Even the sheriff called her gorgeous. If she looked like Helen Thomas the judge would've thrown the book at her. Not to mention the poor kid would have killed himself.
To some the only concern is that the girl can get pregnant, they don't see the emotional, spiritual aspect of things.....
