However, Weldon said Pentagon lawyers rejected the recommendation because they said Atta and the others were in the country legally so information on them could not be shared with law enforcement.I think that this is "obstruction of justice" by, as the article says, "Pentagon lawyers". I really don't see that being "in the country legally" (which they were not) really had anything to do with the investigation. Their, "the lawyers" conclusion defies logic.
