I haven't experienced an NDE, so I have no interpretations of my own.

Always a possibility for anything, but we're specifically dealing with the topic of NDEs. The problem with those is that you can't really easily reproduce them for personal observation and you can't observe anyone else's directly at all, so it's impossible to get any real peer review.
