I agree, for cheap labor they are importing a fifth column. Included among those are the Chinese legal and illegals, which are rife with spies and sleeper agents. I have no doubt there's going to be a lot of free traders who will be shaking their heads in dismay 10-20 years from now, when China decides it's time to kick our asses, wondering why their private Chinese chef blew up a bridge/federal building/GTE building etc....

I do think the 20% of the GDP spent by the federal government could be better spent, with more being spent on infrastructure like Eisenhower did. If you defended NEA, NPR and LSC there would be screams from the left, but the ones screaming vote Democrat anyway. Spending the money on highways would create more construction jobs, a group the Nixon and Reagan had no problem getting votes from. Once a group of construction workers beat up a bunch of antiwar protesters, Nixon invited them to the White House.
