I'm not sure if he's the only one who "gets it," but he's the only one who will say it.
I am still very disappointed in the leaders of this country, who have yet to publically state what the religion of Mohammedanism really is.

I agree that Blair gets it and that Blair got it a long-time ago. He just was blocked by the extreme left English House and Parliment on laws and resources to fight the WOT since 911.
I disagree that Islam is incompatible with the West in general. Our whole culture is based on freedom of everything, including religion. I myself am a Christian and do not believe in Islam. That being said the Muslims can live over here as long as they are good Americans. That means paying taxes, reporting terrorist related crimes, abiding by the laws, etc. It is the physical belief of a small sect of Islam that uses spiritual teaching to justify murder. Murder is not justifyible by any society, by any method. Blair understands this also.
In the age of mass global media and instant communications, we must do more to promote the message and benefits of freedom, and bring to the surface that purposeful attacks on civilians is murder.
What are you talking about? Britain isn't nearly as tough as France when it comes to its domestic Muslim population. Blair keeps saying it's a religion of peace. If Blair "gets it" it's only partly so and he is late in the game. Britain may pass a religious protection law that in effect forbids insulting anyone's religion. Since there aren't many anti-Anglicans, this is in effect a leftist version to protect Islam and forbid criticism of it.

You need to go less with the projecting, and more with the actual listening to what people say.
