My brother-in-law who never smoked was diagnosed of lung cancer and succumbed withing 4 or 5 months. He was hardly ever sick before that. We believe the second hand smoke in his office was responsible.
I remember reading a stat that only 1 in 5 smokers get lung cancer, for non-smokers it is something like 1 in 25.

I know of no one who I grew up with (and we grew up in the fifties surrounded by second hand smoke) who got lung cancer from it.
