At any rate, Jennings was at the next table having lunch with Lauren Bacall. Two things impressed me: 1) she wore no makeup and looked pretty good for a woman of a certain age and 2) he was bigger than I thought and he had movie star good looks.
Didn't like him then, and never changed my mind, but I have only good thoughts for him now. RIP.
Lets hope the report is false and he is doing fine. Lung cancer is an awful thing and it is sad to watch.
He looked like Roger Moore, a dead-ringer for him at the same age.
