Jihadist Forum Member Questions Why Dr. Ayman al-Zawahiri Omitted Qatar from his Threats, and Another Member Issues Warning of the Opening Door of Jihad

By SITE Institute
August 10, 2005

A recent discussion amongst members of a password-protected al-Qaeda affiliated message board concerns Dr. Ayman al-Zawahiri’s video message from August 4, 2005, and his alleged aversion to mentioning Qatar in his threats, and that country’s “suspicious agreements.” The author questioning Zawahiri also asks if perhaps this omission was due to “mutual benefits” between the sheikh and al-Jazeera Channel, or mere “stupidity and ignorance.” Members who replied are condemnatory of such allegations and though the message was ultimately closed, another member took the opportunity to include a warning to several groups of people that the “jihad door will be opened for everybody.

The member issuing the warning states that those who have money in banks should withdraw it during the warning period, people who work in “singing and theaters” and manufacture tobacco or alcohol products should quit their jobs, and Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak should remove himself from power. Further, this author believes that oil money and proceeds from the Suez Canal should be distributed across the Muslim people, from an “infant to a grown-up man,” and prays that Allah will replace Mubarak with someone possessing the same qualities as a caliphate. He alleges that this warning period is to last from the night of August 17th through August 20th.

A full translation of both messages is provided to our Intel Service members.

Package From 'Bin Laden' On Orlando Bus Investigated

POSTED: 1:41 pm EDT August 10, 2005

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Bomb experts were called to a Lynx public bus in Orlando Wednesday after a suspicious package addressed from Osama bin Laden was discovered by a rider, according to police.

The package addressed from Osama bin Laden was found on the Lynx bus No. 909 near the intersection of Hughey and Amelia at the Centroplex parking garage.

The package was found on Lynx bus 909 near the intersection of Hughey and Amelia at the Centroplex parking garage. The bus usually travels around downtown Orlando.

When the bus came to its last stop at the Centroplex parking garage, a passenger on the bus brought the package to the driver.

When the driver saw that Osama bin Laden was written on the package, he called 911, WKMG-TV reported.

Firefighters and police aggressively moved into the area and checked the package, according to the report. Several streets in the downtown area were closed.

The package was packed with flyers but police did not say what the flyers said.

people who work in “singing and theaters” and manufacture tobacco or alcohol products should quit their jobs

Strange. I wonder why just those specific lines of work.

Wow, that's interesting. I rate anything from the site institute. I read somewhere else about a threat around August 18th. I'll try to find it. I know it came from someone who had a "friend" in law inforcement.

This entire report seems rather ominous. I'm not liking the mention of opening the jihad door either.

A quick google brings up things like this:

"If they open the 'Baab Al Jihad' (Door of Jihad), and issue a call to fight for freedom, everyone will go. We will all go to restore the dignity of Arab countries."
