This is pure and simple a deal with Vincente to keep the drug trade healthy. This second economy fuels many industries--housing, autos, sneakers--and provides BIG kickback paychecks for our senators and congressmen, and many minor officials, including state police and local sheriffs. In the past month, I've reported 5 drug deals going down in various parts of my city to the PA State Police. They always say: we're right on it. But I never see the guys I reported getting arrested.
It's a losing battle.
Don't forget cell phones and size 42 pants and shorts. I told my son that if I were starting a business today it would consist of an outlet selling cell phones, sneakers, size 42s and current "music."
If this was only about the corruption of one man or a small group trying to make a few extra billion in illegal drugs I wouldn't be that bothered.
