With the new Emminent Domain nonsense that was passed by the Supreme Court...your thoughts are not too far fetched, unfortunately. After all they may need to take the property of tax paying Americans, so that the illegals "who do jobs that Americans won't", can have a place to call home.
Without all of the illegals we would probably pay less for more than a few things...car insurance (illegals have no license/no car insurance)...health insurance (illegals clogging up the emergency rooms)....housing...etc. The powers that be had better get a handle on this mess.
Except for a handful, Tancredo being one, I'm afraid no one will tackle this issue for their own selfish/political reasons.
Now, Richardson (NM) and Napolitan0 (Az) are trying to make the border areas a state of emergency situation. Well, if they had been doing their jobs all these years they wouldn't have a problem.
What is their real reason for doing this? Are either up for re-election or seek some other office? Or, are they getting a clue that more and more American citizens are fed up!! The winds of change are affecting the politicians, and that's what we need more of.
