And the fact that they print this with a (typographical) straight face tells you all about the NYT.
I would say that the idea of an unbiased NY Slimes story is certainly a myth!
Tax-chick, you've nailed it. For the benefit of those on this board who may not know it, the Jews have been praying about returning to Jerusalem, every day, for 2000 years. When one Jew comforts another about a death in the family, the formula they're supposed to use says "May you comforted among the mourners for Zion and Jerusalem."
Those prayers weren't written, many centuries ago, just so the sneaky Jews could provide evidence in the year 2005 for their ploy to colonize and occupy the Middle East.
And then there's the little matter of the two Temples, part of which of course survives to this day. That wall is hard to dismiss as a myth too -- unless, of course, just as you say, the Times is as constrained by historical facts as Yassir Arafat.
"including the late Yasir Arafat, the idea of a Jewish origin in Jerusalem is a myth"
Someone would have to consume huge amounts of crack to even remotely believe this.
That's what I'm sayin'.... (shaking head in almost disbelief)
