I like when the flight attendants say stupid/silly things over the intercom. No one listens to them until they say something like "Welcome to Flight #257 heading to Hawaii" when the flight is going to Chicago....gets people to pay attention and laugh.
Saying something stupid or silly doesn't bother me. This lady SANG during takeoff and landing, at least three songs. Not even short little ditties. This was long. She sounded like she was hoping to impress some talent scout, but I would fail to see how anyone would be impressed (in a positive way) with her "talent". She had a captive audience and she knew it. It was torturous. If I were part of SW, I would have reprimanded her, but I think they have given her special recognition instead. It's been my only complaint with SW all the many, many times I've flown with them.
