Very same thing happened in Iowa not too long ago. A hospital CEO left her infant strapped in the carseat - found it when she went out to the parking lot after the workday. She didn't go to prison, (although I think there might have been a trial, can't remember) and I think she went back to work at the same place. Weird.

The next think is a government law mandating beepers if a baby is left in the back seat, kinda like when you leave your keys in the car. I'm being sarcastic.

We had a thread arguing that exact point about a month ago. I don't have the link, but the nannystate is working on it. :(
