Very cool. I must admit I've been a believer for many years and have never read the Bible straight through. Started several times, but always got distracted and fell back on topical study or something else.

A recommendation, if it interests you at all - The Complete Jewish Bible by David H Stern - great for Jewish perspective and context, as well as plain speech, which helps with KJV language difficulties that can sometimes muddy doctrinal concepts, imo.

Thanks for the info on the Jewish Bible, but I have my hands full absorbing the Holy Bible. I use the NIV as it uses plainer English than a lot of others. My wife has a Living Bible that really rocks as far as being conversational in style. Perhaps some day, when I feel comfortable with the context of the Bible I'll find time and interest to study perspectives that might not be fully Christian in content (of course I'm only assuming that the Jewish Bible might stick with Old testament doctrine andgo into the rituals and meanings).

God Bless
