I still use my Kensington ADB trackball on my G4 (picked up a USB/ADB converter). Nothing finer than the older ones - the newer ones just don't seem to have the roll/mass.

Truer words!! I remember those from back in their hey day. The little ball on this mouse instantly reminded me of the Thumbelina (spelling?) uber-mini trackball product for laptops in the early 1990s:
