I have stated time and again definitions of these things just go read some posts. As to the litmus test ask a few of the rabid religionists in this thread what makes a good Republican and you will have an answer.

I've read all of the posts on this thread. I don't know how you religious litmus test. Please explain what youmean. From what I've seen, people on this board don't seem to care whether a candidate is Jewish, Catholic, Baptist, non-demoninational or atheistic. They're more concerned what that person's principles are.

I see that you believe that if Christians shut up and stay home, the Republicans will magically appeal to Blacks, Catholics and Jews, and win all future elections. (I guess you didn't realize that GW Bush received more Catholic votes than Kerry). Blacks and Jews will take longer to attract, but not because Christians are racist or Anti-Semetic, only becauset the MSM has been portraying all Republicans as such for years, even moderates.

I, on the other hand, believe that as soon as Christian Conservatives leave the Republican Party, the party will decline rapidly. It will be a party with no core beliefs and not much to differentiate it from the Democrat Party.
