Mary Jo Kopechne committed suicide by virtue of allowing herself to come within three nautical miles of the distinguished senior Senator from the Great Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Kennedy did not kill her, because the definition of the word "kill" specifically excludes distinguished members of Congress as possible killers.
Let this be a lesson to you and to your children: when you see any distinguished member of Congress, be afraid, be very afraid, and take flight immediately, lest ye should die. Mary Jo Kopechne committed the grave crime of "association with a distinguished member of Congress," shamed herself, and committed suicide.
I think that's the proper Democratic spin, commonly called "the truth." We know reality...

on drunk drivers: I was 13, my 19 year old cousin was killed by a drunken SOB who witnesses say was doing close to 60 MPH on a city street in Brooklyn. The judge let him go with probation in 1979. All drunken drivers and judges who let them go should FRY IN HELL and they should suffer the way my aunt and uncle suffered. It tore them apart. It ruined the family relationship. The guy that killed my cousin was a murderer. Ted Kennedy is a MURDERER.
