Originalist, thanks for expressing perfectly what I was thinking. I would only add, if Kennedy had received justice when it happened, our country would have been spared the immense damage he has done to it in the decades since, including the continuing deaths of young service men and women due to his giving aid and comfort to the enemies who are killing them. His corruption and degeneracy continues to cost us dearly.
There it is, in a nutshell. If any of us got drunk, drove off a bridge, with the passenger trapped in the vehicle (to later drown), and left the scene of the accident and did not report it for hours, we'd still be looking out of the bars, and not the ones that serve single malt scotch.
