Johnson was at the CIA for less than four years--one of which was for training. He was a desk jockey.

He then got shipped to the State Department, where it sounds like he worked as a glorified (by himself) claims adjuster.

That's all nice to know. Does any of that negate my previous comment? He is still the idiot who said that Americans were putting too much emphasis on terrorism right before 9/11 and if his intelligence level is representative...well, my statement stands.
And you really have to ask yourself...why in the world would the CIA allow a person with such minimal training and experience to put out such a stupid statement/article?
Sounds like a diversion tactic to me, but I'm rather eccentric so you may see things differently.
BIG DUH on their part! They, and he, rightly deserve to be lambasted.

You might also view my previous reply as somewhat "tongue-in-cheek", as in "just being a cheeky fellow". Your call.
