Thank YOU for being a free speech supporting European. We need more like you, not the kind who apologize for convoluted hate speech regulations that keep people like Oriana from warning others about the enemy's incursion behind the walls of civilization.
....and at the same time allowing various "religious leaders" to spew forth their hatred of us and our free societies. All on the altar of multiculturalism....and anti-Americanism.
Vittorio Feltri was right when he wrote at Libero that the decadence of Westerners is to be identified with their illusion of being able to deal amiably with the Enemy, and even less with their fear. A fear that induces them to meekly host the enemy, to attempt to conquer him with sympathy, hoping that he will allow himself to be absorbed; while [the enemy] is the one who wants to absorb.
How can we defeat the enemy if we don't admit WHO/WHAT the enemy is?
"How can we defeat the enemy if we don't admit WHO/WHAT the enemy is?"
OR WORSE STILL, WHEN SOMEONE SPEAKS THE TRUTH WE CHARGE THEM WITH HATE SPEECH!!!!
Oriana Fallaci is facing charges for telling the truth!
Brilliant column by {former? leftist} Oriana Falacci; she excoriates the P.R.O.P.*
A.A.C.
"Let the Final Crusade commence!"
Too often, they are Cassandras, and end up as being the ones the clueless want to prosecute because they are cowards and dare not face the real enemy in their midst, while groups such as Al Mujaharoun and Hizb ut-Tahrir are left to run wild.
When are you going to bugger off out of the British chapter of FR? No one (British) wants you there, you BNP-supporting dolt.
He has a lot of compnay. So does the United Methodist Church, the Epicopalians, the Anglicans, the Presbyterians and some other "minastream" Christian groups - or at least their ecumenically distracted leadership.
Islam alone today is a belief system which condones and encourages the use of violence to convert non-believers and supress and intimidate those non-believers who refuse to convert.
Unless and until a majority of Muslims wake up, find they are in the twenty-first century instead of the 6th Century, this will not change.
The last I read, Fallaci is still living in New York.
Let's get it over with..
I could care less about the BNP, and you're just saying that to add a few ounces to your otherwise weightless position. I've challenged you "Englishmen," if that's what you can call yourselves, to resist the Racial and Religious Hatred bill . It's interesting that your MPs would give up your rights to free speech so easily, and even more interesting that you'll stoop to accuse me of supporting a BNP member but you won't take two or three lines of text to assail your potential loss of rights due to this bill.
I note that Oriana Fallaci has the freedom to think and write here in America, but doesn't in Europe. Oriana may presumably not go to the UK because of EU extradition reciprocity laws. How can you sit idly by while that is true in your country?
I've gotten loud protests from all of about three of you "Englishmen" over my criticism of the hate speech charges made against BNP's Nick Griffin. The rest of the 300 registered UK FReepers haven't said a word, and some have pointed out that he was just telling the truth. The best criticism I've heard from you yet is that he's guilty of other crimes for which he hasn't been charged. Is that justice? It certainly isn't English justice. If he is guilty of treason for taking money from Qadaffi or some other terrible thing like that, then charge him for the real crimes he has committed against the state. I would support that.
The real reason you're angry at an American who wants to point out a loss of a fellow nation's liberties is that you don't want to lift a finger to protect them yourselves. As far as the several of you who've been angry over my criticism of Griffin's arrest, you're not here on FR to challenge the status quo, you're here to whimper and fawn over each other. Don't expect me to hand you a tissue paper. Buck up, because we're not here to support governments but to keep an eye on them when they get too powerful. You're not Englishmen, you're a gaggle of school girls quacking at each other while your MPs plan ways of taking yet more of your freedom.
Either do something to defend your rights, or expect more heckling.
As I say, bugger off. You aren't wanted.
Why are you so outspoken? Do the hate speech laws protect you personally in some way?
Remove me from your UK flag list. You know nothing about Britain and your posts bore me.
Thanks & BTTT

Your Holiness, I speak to you as a person who admires you very much... At a certain point, it is remembered that the Church was preaching reason; thus choice; thus the Good, thus Liberty, and she ceased to tyrannize. To kill people. Or constrain them to paint only Christs and Madonnas. She understood laicism. Thanks to men of the first order, a long list of which You are a part, she leant a hand to democracy. And today, she speaks to people like me. She accepts them and, far from burning them alive (I never forget that up until four hundred years ago the Holy Office would have sent me to the stake), she respects their ideas. They do not. Therefore, there can be no dialogue with them. And this does not signify that I want to promote a war of religion, a Crusade, a witch hunt, as imbeciles and frauds. (Religious wars, Crusades--me?!? A non-religious person? Go figure. Like Id want to incite a religious war or a Crusade. A witch hunt--me?!? Being considered a witch and a heretic by the same laypeople and the same liberals, go figure. Like Id want to start a witch hunt. It simply signifies that to delude ones self about them is against reason. Against Life, against ones own survival. And woe unto those who take them into their confidence.Hmmm... I guess Pope Benedict got the ping.
