Idaho authorities identified 37-year-old John Rollins Tuggle as the suspect in the case and issued an arrest warrant charging him with attempted murder. They said no other suspects were being sought.
Criminal records obtained by 7News show Tuggle served nine years in an Idaho prison for the statutory rape of a relative. He was released from prison in January 2004. Tuggle lived with his brothr in Hayden, Colo, the Routt County Sheriff's Office told the Steamboat Pilot & Today newspaper. He most recently worked as a painter in Steamboat Springs, the newspaper reported on its Web site.
The girl lives in Idaho. Tuggle had traveled there to visit his daughter, who he apparently hadn't seen in 10 years.
Please tell me that the mom didn't willingly allow this POS to take the little girl. That's just crazy!
