And I thought Bishop Ohl (NW Texas) was pathtic, but he at least gave the congregation a month to clear out.
I grew up as an Episcopalian before becoming a Catholic in college, and I take no pleasure in seeing what is happening in my former Church. I left because I concluded that the Anglican Church was not the one, true, Catholic, and apostolic Church mentioned in the creed. But I got a great deal from my years in that church. It was basically sound and decent.
Developments since then have been wretched. A friend of mine who was an episcopal priest was kicked out by his bishop in Connecticut about ten years ago for refusing to say that gay sex was OK.
I have met Bishop Griswold, the current head of the church in America, who has been behind a lot of this unChristian activity, including the appointment of the gay bishop in New Hampshire. He seemed impressive enough, and he presided over a beautiful service, but evidently his heart is rotten. What a shame, that churches built up over the years through the generosity of decent Christians are now being appropriated by these leftist destroyers. What will happen to the children who grow up in such a church? I trust God will lead them to something better.
Ping.
Too bad a certain archbishop doesn't return the favor upon the diocese offices & bishop.
