I may live in small town Nebraska...not Muslim central or even a viable target...but when are they going to strike in the US. And can the American public as a whole handle things like the British and not go all wobbly? We seemed to come together after 9/11, but we've really never seen a sustained attack like what seems to be going on in Britain. I just pray our leadership steps up strong enough if/when this happens here to bring the people together.
I hope my doubts are just the fact that I'm working on 2 hours of sleep (from sometime yesterday) and are proven to be unfounded.
I think we are coming together. We are destroying the enemy within and the Islamofacist daily.

It'll be like the Beltway Sniper days. The MSM and blue state types will be running around like Chicken Little. There will be much wailing and gnashing of teeth, 'what to do, who to blame, we're all afraid', etc. The red-state types will go about their business, pack pistols, be alert, and contribute to the solution (witness the trucker who discovered the Beltway snipers, and parked his truck so they couldn't escape).
The Administration will constantly make proclamations about how Muslims on the whole are not to blame (which I agree with), in fear that the "red state" types will display TRUE vigilante-type behavior. I love W & Cheney, but most of the Pubbie politocos don't know us as well as they think. We're not a bunch of rednecks out here waiting to burn mosques, or shoot Abu at the local 7-11. But we're watchful, and prepared to respond to imminent threat.

Amazing to me is how you and the like contradict and answer your own question in the same paragraph. Why do you ask, "when are they going to strike America?" when in fact they already did strike America on 9/11!
9/11 should never be minimalized or viewed as a threat like so many seem to do. It was a huge hit, an act of war on unarmed civilians without warning.
