Like most special prosecutors, Ken Starr's investigation dragged on and on and on. The Lewinsky matter finally gave him something to show for all of the money and effort consumed.
Ken Starr had a wide latitude with regards to the Clinton administration. The Lewinsky matter gave Starr something from which to go after Clinton with. The central theme was the fact that Clinton perjured himself on numerous occasions, including during the Lewinsky fiasco.
