Wellllllllll, I meant it as in "bated breath".

Here's what I found at www.yourdictionary.com

'Usage Note: The word baited is sometimes incorrectly substituted for the etymologically correct but unfamiliar word bated ("abated; suspended") in the expression bated breath.'
