Remember, after the last bombing they found one or more vehicles full of explosives--I wonder if that was "the good stuff" intended for this attack, and they had to make do with something less effective?

Interesting theory.  Could be, this does seem to be a bit of an ill-planned attack, if everything being reported is true.
