Not surprising. I believe one of the Underground stations attacked on 7/7 was in Bethel Green and Bow? It's a very heavily Muslim area, hence the reason Georgie al-Galloway beat Labo(u)r for the seat.

Just wondering..wou;dn't it have been more "effective" ( for lack of a better choice of words) to do this during rush hour..many more commuters..thus much more panic..and if you do it in the morning hour, you shut down the city for the day..kill commerce..the economic cost of the disruption is in the billions
