Let's hope it's not deadly chemicals, Quilla. This sounds more amateurish than what we've seen previously.

With their main chemist out of the country, they may have gone to a back-up plan of using home-made black powder (contains sulfur).

If the three parts to make black powder are not mixed properly, disolved and then dried you will not get complete burn for the explosive.
