I can believe that groups of young muslims would attempt copy-cat attacks without the benefit of skilled bomb making ability...maybe that's what happened.

Maybe - I'm inclined to agree that if it is not a copy-cat, somebody mixed up a bad batch of boom and London got very lucky this morning. Ah, well, there are at least 72 heavenly virgins who won't be facing these Mohammedans today.

No way. They had good detonators and good co ordination and thats not a spur of the moment thing.

The chemist from the last batch is under arrest and this crew, and these detonators are what was left over from the first bunch.

Since the explosives were already all used up, they improvised in a somewhat amatuer fashion, using the detonators that they already had and perhaps wrapped in nails and such.

Explosives are not chem 101, and you don't get any chances to muck up.
