Those 400 "scientists" were probably issued "credentials" from the Discovery Institute or other whack job outfits; or were social "scientists" or such.
I'm sure one could find 400 reputable BIOLOGICAL Scientists (what a physicist or chemist brings to the table on a discussion of Evolution and the theory of natural selection is limited at best) who ascribe to some sort of "intelligent" design theory and have some reservation about Darwin's theory of natural selection; but that is 400 out of what....400,000?

Huh? Macro evolution has not been demonstrated anywhere much less the lab. Biologists have not been able to turn one species into anything but that species with screwed up mutations.

And do they also believe that Lysenko and Lamarck were right?

So those who believe God is the creator admire Stalin?
Got paranoia? The clear implication is that those who mindlessly attack the science of evolution are admired by Stalin.

One problem though:
Evolutionary theory claims basis in empirical (that our theories should be based on our observations) thinking.
Whereas faith-based beliefs claim only faith.

Don't know about Stalin. It is a fact though that creationists recently got a known Islamic extremist to testify in favor of their wacko theories.

Here is the ListThe list contains not one, but two physicists named Philip Page from Oxford! The probability of that is so low, that I suspect some intelligent design was involved. <g>

Darwinian evolution through natural selection has been demonstrated in the lab.
If you starve fruit fly larvae so that 90% of them die, and repeat for several generations you will derive a line of fruit flies that 90% of their larvae survive a stress that will kill 90% of non-selected fruit flies. This is hardly "screwed up mutations"; although it is an example of antagonistic pleotropy. Those fruit flies are starvation resistant, but at a cost. There is no free lunch in evolution (that is why Communists preferred Lamarkian evolution and Lysenkoism); everything comes at a price.

Here we go trying to frame the dissenters as "creationist scientists". Darwinian evolution breaks down dramatically at the cellular level and the biochemical level. Are you familiar with erereducable complexity,

I don't think someone like you recognizes truth. But it's okay - you are just one person and really not that important.

So if they attacked science but not "mindlessly" would that make a difference? You people are really sad. I'm beginning to feel a little sorry for you.
