OK I got to talk to him for 6 min. We're supposed to get 10 but the nurses cut us off (I have no idea why). I have no idea how he is tolerating the medication other than that he said that he had 'lots of headaches today'. Something isn't right here. The Dr apparently never talked to him but prescribed a very powerful medication for him. The Dr 'routinely' does not speak to the parents so I have not been able to speak to him. The only answers I get from the nurses are 'He's doing good' and 'we don't know. What's going on here? Hubby is home to stay with the kids if I want to go see him but no one will take me so that's out. What can I do about the Dr and nurses not answering any of my questions? They just shunt me over to a social worker that doesn't know how he's doing?

I don't like the sound of any of that, sfi. What the aitch is going on? Can you get a sitter to watch the kids so that hubby can go to the hospital with you tonight? I think that he needs to go with you there to help get some ANSWERS.

Is there any way you can get someone (even a taxi service) to take you to the hospital so you can meet with the doctors/nurses? A neighbor perhaps?
