Doesn't matter. The Michael Moore crowd will demand he be destroyed.

Wow thanks for this:

"According to this blogger (see below) Scalia called Roberts "far and away the best Supreme Court litigator in the country" - and said that opinion was widely shared among justices!!! That suggests a quality of intellect that will be very influential on the court for years to come:

"For what it's worth: A few years ago, Justice Scalia said to a friend of mine that he and other Justices thought of John Roberts as far and away the best Supreme Court litigator in the country."

If Bush continues to appoint Scalia-like originalists, he will go down in history as a great President. That will be his reward. Until then, it's the job of conservatives to fight for what we believe in.

He he, good point. I don't think the Dems and the DUmmies really care about anything other than regaining power, and until then, derailing the US and damaging BushCo at every opportunity.

Theirs is an agenda of negativity. And thus will they be defeated by all that is good.

"He says the Democrats are going to commit suicide if they oppose this nomination."

Then I'm sure hoping they oppose it - let them be crushed in open battle rather than allowing them to slither away. So long as the Rs keep it together and show some fortitude this MUST be a resounding defeat for the Ds and their DU-maniacs!

Great old classic.

The old Night of the Living dead is another one I always have to watch. It too is black and white. The ending is so unexpected!

ROTFLMAO! It's looking like a good pick. At 50 he could serve for 40+ years.

Well, it looks like it's back to dirty coat hangers and back alley abortions. :) Hehe!

this worries me. Yahoo reported that he stated in his appellate confirmation that:
"Roe v. Wade is the settled law of the land. ... There is nothing in my personal views that would prevent me from fully and faithfully applying that precedent."

Not to worry, He didn't say he agreed with the decision. Here he was speaking as an Appellate judge who is expected to apply the law as determined by the USSC. However, as a SC justice he could join a majority, if one emerged and the right case presented, to overthrow Roe.

Bet you are right. And here in OH, little DeWine, Mikey's son, lost his primary bid, badly. Another signal from the base? Uh-huh.
