Greta and Natalie's mother were on O'Reilly last night speaking about the hair and brush. Apparently the police had asked Beth for the brush some time ago and she had given it to them. At the same time as the tape with the hairs were found, the police returned the brush to Beth which made her suspicious to say the least. She said she could not invest any feeling in the tape with hairs as there have been too many rollercoaster events and everytime the family had gotten their hopes up about some clue or turn of events in the investigation, their hopes had been dashed.
My concern is that the tape is a plant to clear Joran and have him released. Suppose the hairs are Natalie's, but there are fingerprints of someone not involved in the investigation - wouldn't that be "proof" that something happened to Natalie that had nothing to do with the Kalpoes or VDS and point to someone unidentified as the culprit?
At about the same time the hairs were found, the brush was returned? How weird. I would like to know whether the brush was returned BEFORE the hairs were found. That would sound like some kind of OFFICIAL plant. Maybe someone wants to send Joran down the river to keep attention off OTHER people?
However, it might make sense if they first found the duct tape, visually checked the hairs under a scope right there in Aruba against the hairs from her brush, found them to be visually highly similar, and sent the two samples in for testing and only THEN returned the brush (only hours AFTER the finding of the tape/hairs) to Beth.
I mean, could Gil Grissom be LYING to us when he visually examines the hairs under the scope to get a feel for similarity? Hasn't he solved at least one case on dandruff scales alone?
