"But Judge Brown needs to "season" on the Circuit Court before she is "ready" to move up to the Supreme Court."

How many years did she spend on the CA Supreme Court? Serving as a Supreme Court Justice in as large a state as California is "seasoning" enough by my book.

Judge Brown is 56 already, and if President Bush waits 2-3 years for her to "season" as a Circuit Judge, she might be viewed as "too old" to nominate, assuming that there's a vacancy in 2007 or 2008 in the first place. And even if she was nominated at such time, the 2-year delay would merely give the Democrats an excuse to say that "circumstances have changed" because of her "recent extremist court opinions" which makes her susceptible to a filibuser, something that would be very difficult for Democrats to do right now because they just voted to end her filibuster and to confirm her.

So I say there's no time like the present. President Bush, nominate Judge Janice Rogers Brown today!
