How about nominating Dick Cheny for the vacancy?
Then naming a new, younger Vice President, who will immediately become the front runner in '08 and take away the lame duck status of this administration???
How about noiminating someone that has chance of remaining on the Court for twenty or thirty years. Cheney has already used most of his "nine lives". Hell the man has had four heart attacks. Give him a break.
