Any information on Edith Jones or Edith Clement? Are they conservative enough for the vast majority of us, excluding the Buchananites?

Edith Jones is the only one appointed by President Reagan. Many conservatives support her. Pragmatic conservatives believe Edith Jones is too conservative and "too controversial" and favor Edith Clement.

Yes and Yes, from what I have seen.

Luttig or Garza are 2 other possibles.

Janice Rogers Brown should get the Chief Justice when that opens and if Scalia and Thomas get passed over.
