I had the misfortune of reading some liberal blogs over the weekend, they struck me as over the top angry and full of hate filled speech. While I have my own criticisms of all the former Presidents, some very minor, others more substantive, these men were all elected to our highest office in the land. As a military officer, I salute the office of the President and while I have my favorites (like President Reagan who awarded me my commission) I really understand the humor of some of these posts, but I also salute the men who served in this office.
Everyone of these men deserves the salute of a grateful nation, regardless of our political leanings. You can despise them, oppose them, or just not like them, but I salute the American people and our way of life for granting us the ability to choose.
Just some thoughts...

Thank you for your service. We should give tremendous respect to the office and even to those who held it, with GWB setting the latest example. However, when a former president actively works to undermine the foreign policy of the sitting president, when he gives aid and comfort to our enemies, then my FRiend, with all due respect, that former president has lost all claim to any respect from the people of this great nation.
