When was Alicia?

The most vivid in my mind are Carla, Beulah, Allen, and Gilbert. Ran from 3 of those and rode Allen out in CC.

Alicia was spawned in the southern gulf in '83. It was the short period of time to landfall that caught most Houstonians unprepared, not to mention the close to 18 hours she stalled on the Galveston coast.TS Alison dumped a lot of water that caused death and destruction from rising water, freeways and underpasses left many autos completely submerged.
