What happened to the Hypocratic oath--"First, do no harm"?

I guess we can amend that--"Do harm, and inflict death,
when permitted by both parents. . . "

Hippocratic, from Hippocrates "hypo" in Greek would be a upsilon I think. I'd have to look to make sure the "i" is a iota.

With the further addendum that the doctor can overrule the parents and 'mercifully end' the life of a newborn. You know, sometimes those 'distraught' parents can't be trusted to make the 'right' decision.

Remember the Dutch doctor who said he euthanized newborns without their parents knowledge and that sometimes the babies weren't exactly critically ill? So, let's review. The Dutch doctors hear of this guy who more aggressively euthanizes than most of them, and they decide to make his actions the norm, to up the ante, to raise the standard. Alrighty then.
