You have no clue what you are talking about.

I know what the Legion of Mary is "supposed to be". What some people make of Mary and those groups is another thing. And since you don't know me or the lady I was referring to, how do you know what she thinks or believes? A great many uninformed, elderly, and immigrant Catholics have beliefs and practices that may vary with church doctrine and dogma. So it seems to me that you're the one who doesn't know what she's talking about and are also rather rude and arrogant.

Perhaps it would help you to know that I am a part of the Legion of Mary. I know what they teach.
If the lady in question is praying for the Mercy of Mary, she is not correct but to state that having a statue, etc. is idolatry is not correct either. Does she tell you that she prays for intercession? That is not praying for but praying with. Have you asked her?
Got a reference to the idolatry of Mary in elderly and immigrant Catholics?
