LOL! My grandfather-in-law was a good old fashioned Methodist minister. He used to tell a lot of stories about Methodist preachers and fried chicken . . . he had a lot of good tales. We got all his books, and among them was a cute little number from the 30s - Snappy Stories Preachers Tell. A lot of them are politically incorrect, but still pretty darn funny.

All the food jokes are making me hungry for my Baptist roots. I'm a Lutheran now and the potlucks can't compare...all jello salads.

Our former minister wanted to write a book about all he had learned in his years in the ministry, entitled Never Have a Chile Supper on Saturday Night.
