Catholic Charities does not place with non-Catholics (see my post #52) .

That is the Tulsa Diocese's policy, not Catholic Charities. I know for a fact that Catholic Charities allows children to be adopted by Protestants- in fact I know of a black Baptist couple who is finalizing an adoption from Catholic Charities next week. They have told the agency that they plan on raising the child as a Baptist.

Fair enough. The only reason I looked it up was because I remembered being told all those years ago that we weren't qualified because we weren't a certain religion. i wasn't sure if it was Catholic or not. I'm pretty sure now it was. So that must be the case in Nashville, too.

So I think what we have here, based on previous posts, is that some, but not all, Bethany chapters don't accept Catholics as prospective parents. And some Catholic diocese do not accept non-Catholics. I still see this as a non-issue.

That being said, I don't like an intra-Church test. I'm not evensure there should even be a Christian test. A saved baby is a saved baby.
