I related to him the details of my friend's encounter with Novak and pointed out that whatever my wife might or might not be, it was the height of irresponsibility for Novak to share such information with an absolute stranger on a Washington street.

***Novak told a perfect stranger on the street the same day he talked to Rove!
That just stretches the imagination beyond belief.
Novak probably knew the person, even if only casually. Those were very candid remarks and not ones a person would usually make to a rank stranger.
Also, the fact that Wilson didn't name who his "friend" in all of this was leaves an awful aroma in the wind. Dollars to donuts Wilson sent him/her to feel Novak out as to what Novak knew. I mean, this "complete stranger" just casually started a conversation on the subject and Novak complied with no reservations whatsoever?? It just doesn't pass the smell test.
I, however, sure would like to see Novack "out" this "unknown friend" of Wilson's since outing others is the seasonal summer theme this year.

I await Novak's promised account; I imagine he's mad as hell today because somebody has "leaked" his testimony (how ironic that these HONORABLE reporters would do that, eh?).

He's going to even some scores.

Anyway, what gives Wilson the right to say or even think that she wasn't "fair game" -- she ORIGINATED the trip -- she IS part of the story, right?

He is way too indignate for me not to be suspicious that something more is going on here; this "protecting my woman" thing is wearing pretty thin with me.

Last night on Aaron Brown's show, even old dumb Aaron pointed out to the once again indiginant Wilson that that is the way D.C. works: you hurt me, I hurt you back; he asked Wilson why he thought he was so dang different.

BROWN: I imagine there are those in Washington who would say, absent a crime being credit committed, that all this was, or what this was -- and people can decide whether appropriate or not -- is politics the way it's played in Washington. You hurt them, they hurt you. They saw you as a partisan attacking them, and so they went after you. And that's just the way Washington politics is played. It's not patty cake.

Wilson ignored him, of course.

He's taking this WAY too personally, if you ask me. Squealing like a stuck pig comes to mind.
