They are. They have lots of people and not enough land for them to occupy. Also, they do, believe it or not, have a reasonably competent civil defense infrastructure. Theirs is in the top 5 world wide. Switzerland's is number one. Japan a close second. Russia and the PRC about tied. The USA? We barely have anything - every man for himself.

Yes they are. But, they know they have Ted Kennedy, Chuck Schumer, Reid, Pelosi, etc. as additional allies (weapons) if they need them.

Actually the epicenter of the explosion it's more like 10,000,000 degrees or some such. So, your 2000 degrees a thousand miles from the epicenter it's a pretty good estimate.
