Black crime is a problem here and in the North.
We have more blacks and they commit more crime disproportionately...hence our poor stats.
That is simply a fact and is precisely why towns such as Memphis, Birmingham, Jackson MS, Little Rock, Charlotte, Atlanta, New Orleans etc have crimes rates as bad or worse than Detroit or Cleveland or Wash DC
I don't think that is a good stick to beat on the South with but use if you like.

Meanwhile, some here bash the South with a vitriol that would never be tolerated by the AMs here if the targets were not White southerners. Damn shame but they do give self explanatory reason for why many of us resent some Yankees. I realize there are plenty of decent non South hating Yankees having lived there 8 years part time.
Yankee sanctimony was pivotal in my move from left to right in my early 20s in Manhattan. I owe ya'll for that thanks.

One of the most agreeable towns I've ever been in was Spooner, Wisc. -- back in 1960. I was very favorably impressed and asked my dad, who was driving, if we couldn't move there. It was a picket-fence paradise.
I'd like to see more of northern California and maybe the northern Rockies. Also, upstate Michigan, upstate New York, upstate New Hampshire.
I don't try to beat the South up about anything. The South is a fine place, and so is the North. I'm just damn tired of the false stereotypes being thrown the other direction.
Some folks don't seem to get that point or are too wrapped up in their fake regional "identity" ego trips to even comprehend that they are the ones throwing stones.

Not when you get in the Twin Cities! But get far enough away from Ramsey and Hennepin Counties (extreme blue), and you are back to civilization.
